ABB is investing heavily in Karlskrona

ABB will invest over $ 400 million to double production capacity of high voltage cables in their factory in Karlskrona in Sweden. The aim is to meet the increasing demand for submarine cables.

According to a statement from the company, the investment is spread over four years, 2012-2015, and it concerns among others, construction of new buildings and installation of several production lines in the existing plant.

The expansion will be carried out in stages and is scheduled to be completed in 2015.
