Swedish engineering power house AB Volvo buys a luxury house for its CEO - Criticism

Automotive giant AB Volvo bought a luxury villa for Skr30 million as official residence for its CEO Olof Persson and it was previously no known. But now that the Union seems to have been made aware of the issue, there growing criticism.

The villa is on 472 square meters has 14 rooms, a swimming pool blasted into the rock and overlooking parts of the archipelago of Gothenburg.

The company's press officer Marten Wikforss told Swedish business daily Dagens industri that the house met the requirements in terms of security and opportunity for representation.

The Olof Persson will be taxed for living in that home which the Swedish tax authority estimates at a value of close to Skr42,000 a month, writes the paper.
